Project 2010 Update – Week… Unknown; Brief 2011 Fall TV Notes Part I

September 21st, 2011 @ 3:38:14 am

It’s been about four months since my last update.  I’ve received a few emails, FB messages, and Tweets from people who think I haven’t updated because I’ve fallen off the wagon.  I’ll admit, I’ve had some rough weeks.  Some rough days.  More “who cares” days than “I care” ones.  However, overall, I’m still doing pretty good.  I haven’t lost a lot more, but I did pass that “magic number” I talked about in May.  But since passing it, I’ve sort of been hovering.  What HAS changed, though, is my waist size.  Even though I haven’t lost a lot of weight since May, clothes that I bought at the beginning of the summer are too big for me now at the end of summer (or technically, the beginning of fall).  I’m having to buy all new jeans this fall, none of my jackets fit, and a good number of my shirts from last fall are now too big as well.  While this is a cool thing, it’s also a little disheartening because I can’t really afford the new wardrobe.  Oh yeah.  Obama’s revamp of the student loan system has screwed me over and it cost me about an extra $2,000 out of pocket for this fall semester.  Thanks, guy.

Anyway, back to Project 2010.  I haven’t been keeping good track of the weight changes each week.  Mostly because lately I haven’t been at home on Saturday nights, so I haven’t been able to weigh in on Sunday mornings.  I am thinking of changing my weigh date to Saturday instead of Sunday.  (I don’t want to make it Monday because that has a greater chance of false results.  Also, because I’m more inclined to eat poorly on the weekends, giving me all week to work that off before weigh in again).  As such, I’ve also lost track of exactly what week I’m on now.  BUT… what I can tell you is that since Week 0, I’ve lost a total of 113.4 pounds.  As of my last posting in May, I had lost 98.8 pounds.  That’s an additional loss of 14.6 pounds.  That’s not terribly great for a four month period (about roughly 0.9 pounds per week), but it’s also certainly not bad!!  What’s even better is, like I said, the fat I still have seems to have been working on redistributing itself and my overall body size seems to be changing.

I may (or may not) be about to start on a secret “Project 2011.”  I probably won’t blog about that until its over, which would be some time at the end of the year.  That will lead me into a follow-up “Project 2012.”  But, let’s not get too excited.  Much like P2010 started off with a week zero, next week I should be into week zero of P2011 — that is, if there is one.  Which I can’t confirm.  Because it’s secret.  HAHA.  So, we’ll see if it’s worth continuing with or if I’ll even mention it here.

Oh… also… school is kicking my butt.  That’s why I haven’t been updating.  I’m just overwhelmed right now.  Trying to stick to P2010, do my school, keep up with my increased work load (this is my busiest time of year, you know), of course my TV habits (can’t believe I haven’t blogged about that all summer!), and trying to have SOME semblance of a social life.  I just …. argh!  Don’t know that I’ll survive the rest of 2011.  We’ll see, though.

Oh yeah… and I’m officially 29.  (Gag).

Oh… and one more thing… Romo had better bring it this week.  Personally, while I don’t wish him to be seriously injured, I wouldn’t mind it if this rub/lung thing keeps him on the bench and puts my boy Kitna in as starter.  Hope they are giving him mad reps today at practice!!

So there… I crammed a P2010, School, Birthday, and Football update all into one.  Why not go for a TV update:

MDA Telethon — disaster.  I’ll still donate, of course, but not during telethon time anymore.  I won’t even watch the show.  There goes at least 24 years of my heritage down the drain.

New Shows that have premiered so far: Free Agents – failure;  Up All Night – hilarious!!;  The Playboy Club – meh;  2 Broke Girls – TONS of potential!; New Girl – excellent… but we’ll have to see what they do when the new guy comes on.  I will like it better with Damon Wayans Jr, I think.

Returning Shows that have premiered so far: Parenthood – love this show.  Really.; Hawaii Five-0 – dear producers, please stop making characters I like into dirty characters.  Glee – not bad!  Good riddance to the blonde guy.  Please bring back more Lauren.  Puck is WAY too old.  Especially on High Def.  He’s like Crater Face from Grease.  Glad to see Blaine as part of new directions, but c’mon, his family would never have let him leave that elitist school for public school.  Never.; Raising Hope – this really is one of my favorite shows, and the premiere did not disappoint.

I’ll try to post another TV update later in the week.
