Fell off the wagon, and it ran me over!
January 19th, 2012 @ 1:44:55 am
So, before Thanksgiving, I had hit a total weight loss of 124 pounds since February of 2010. As of today, I have gained 13 pounds between Thanksgiving and now. It started out as “Oh, it’s just the holidays. No big deal.” Then it became “Oh, it’s just while I’m on vacation. No big deal.” Now, I’m afraid I’ve completely fell off the wagon… and it ran me over!!
Why? Well, I haven’t been keeping track of my points like I used to. I haven’t been blogging about it like I used to. And I’ve been extremely social the past two months. New relationships tend to do it as well. Especially when I’ve been trying to go out as much as possible right now since, once school starts and then spring productions kick in, I’ll be a little too busy.
So… what am I going to do about it? Well, I’m going to try my darnedest to finish out the week as best I can. However, since Saturday is my official weigh day, Saturday, January 21st will be the official start of Project 2012. Like Project 2010, this is again going to be weight-loss oriented. However, since I have substantially less to lose, and a final goal in sight, I’m going to be pretty blatant about how I want this year to go. Between now and 7am Christmas morning of 2012, I would like to lose approximately 25 lbs (I have a goal weight for Christmas, and it’s just a hair over 25 lbs from where I stand today. I’m hoping it’ll be a little less than that Saturday). According to the countdown tracker I’ve placed on my website, as of the writing of this post, that gives me 46 weeks to do so. I think it’s doable. Now, if I can only lose 20 lbs, that would be fine as well. But 25 lbs is the primary goal. As much as 28 would put me at the half-way point between now and my ultimate weight loss goal. Yes, that’s right, even after P2012, I still won’t be finished. BUT, for now, about 25 lbs is my goal for the next 46 weeks.
So… wish me luck! Since it’s a new project, I’m starting on Week 1 again Saturday and let you know where I stand!
